What do you think of my new HK Photomontage series?
This series features traditional & iconic Hong Kong places, objects, cuisine, transport, etc. The work features buildings like the TST clock tower, the Peninsula Hotel, the Big Buddha & the HK Fringe Club juxtaposed with HK's incredible public transport...the red & green taxis, KMB buses, the iconic Star Ferry, minibuses & Cathay Pacific! HK's unique pink dolphins make a splash in some of the artworks alongside traditional letterboxes, Cheung Chau buns, Dragon fruit, retro Vitasoy bottles & hot water flasks from China. Some works include beautifully crafted flower plaques & Bamboo theatres celebrating the traditional craftspeople of HK, neon signage, street cleaners, Chinese opera performers & Bruce Lee!
It's been fun gathering images and playing with composition to create these fun pieces to celebrate our amazing home...if you can think of anything that I am missing I'd LOVE to get your feedback on things that should be included in future works!!
I love bright colours... and so added a Pop Art feel with the bright background shades. I think the hot pink is my current favourite!!
